I love exfoliating more than a normal person should. And I have sensitive skin. Sounds like those two things should be mutually exclusive, but they’re not! I had the good fortune to try out a fantastic cruelty free facial mask by Jeune d’Age Organics. The 5% Glycolic Pumpkin Masque is a winner.
I was prepared to leave it on for 10-15 minutes and was a little scared when it started tingling almost immediately. I left it on for about 2 or 3 minutes and was prepared to wash it off and expose irritated, burning skin. Not so! I washed it off and my skin was radiant, soft and clean. I tried it again on a another night, and my skin was less reactive, so I left it on for about 5-6 minutes. Same, smooth result. (Jeune D’Age says it’s supposed to do that, and you should wash it off when it starts tingling.)
It’s nice to find something that really works – pumpkin enzymes and glycolic acid help to unclog pores and even out your skin tone. It’s also got bilberry, sugar cane, beta carotene, Vitamins B, C and E and antioxidants. No parabens or chemical fragrances. My best friend will be coming to visit this week, and she’s obsessed with exfoliating too. I’ll let her use it, but she’d better not try to steal it!
