I tried some new bareMinerals lip colors by Bare Escentuals and they are pretty sweet. The Pretty Amazing lip color is, well…aptly named. They go on like a rich gloss, but have an insane amount of pigment for bright, vibrant color. They stain the lips a bit for lasting color, and they come in 8 really nice shades. I tried Bravado, a deep reddish brown color with a hint of plum, and Ambition, a blue-based hot pink.
My only complaint is the applicator – it’s a doe foot, but the wand is super flexible, which makes it a bit difficult to apply. BE recommends using a lip liner with it – to get a precise application. You can also use a lip brush to apply. And for even longer lasting application, they recommend using a dusting of loose powder before applying.
The pic above is Rouge from the bareMinerals 2010 Holiday Collection. I’m not sure if you can buy it separately, but Strength (red) and Bravado are pretty similar.
Next, I want to try some of the more subtle colors like Charisma – a coral pink that’s perfect for Spring/Summer and Free Will – a pink nude color.

I want to try the Free Will! I have such a difficult time finding the right lipstick/lip gloss. I hate my lips feeling sticky and gross! I've tried lip stains, but with my pale-pale skin everything is too bright! I just read your blog about their new blush and am excited to try it–as I HATE loose pigments!
