Gud is a fun new line of cruelty free products from Burt’s Bees. It’s affordable and I like the bold packaging – definitely different from the Burt’s Bees we are used to!
The body lotion ($7) comes in big 8 oz tubes and is available in 3 scents: Vanilla Flame, Orange Petalooza and Floral Cherrynova. I tried the Vanilla Flame lotion and I like it – it’s not overly scented and it leaves your hands feeling soft, but not greasy. Never any animal testing, phthalates, petrochemicals or parabens. Right now you can get a free sample on Gud’s Facebook page! They are also offering a $1 off coupon.
The shampoo and conditioner comes in the same three scents. The Floral Cherrynova conditioner I tried includes: sunflower seed oil, hibiscus, peppermint, sage and nettle extract. The scent isn’t my fave, but it’s very girly and I think a lot of gals might like it. Give it a sniff when you’re in the drugstore or grocery store next time. My hair liked it though – very moisturizing.
You can also buy Gud body butter, foaming hand soap, body mists, body wash and hand creams.
Note: Burt’s Bees is a cruelty free company owned by Clorox, who is not cruelty free. We believe that supporting animal-friendly companies goes a long way toward the eventual elimination of animal testing. If the parent companies see the successes of their brands who do not test, it’s a win. It’s also a win for the animal-friendly companies to get larger distribution in mass channels by being involved with huge companies. That’s our personal opinion here at My Beauty Bunny and we invite you to make up your own mind on the matter!

I requested a sample and am really anxious to try it. I like their branding a lot, I think it's cute. I agree with you on your stance for supporting animal-friendly companies, too!
i requested a sample but never got mine
It seems that everything these days is owned by some parent company that does test on animals. It feels a bit like having one’s back to the wall when it comes to choices and selections. All that one can do is either make their own beauty products, or go for the lesser of the evils (support the non-tested brands of parent companies that test).
