I have had laser hair removal at a total of 4 med spas throughout Los Angeles now, and I have to say LaserAway is one of the best. I have had one treatment with them so far (underarms) and the experience was great.
Tisha and the staff were friendly and the nurse (Tabitha) carefully explained everything to me before she did it. She let me feel the laser before she used it (it was cold). The actual procedure was over in about 2 minutes (1 minute or less per underarm). The laser they used on me didn’t hurt at all (you can feel heat, but it’s not painful – maybe a 2 or 3 on a pain scale from 1 to 10 – and that’s coming from a super sensitive girl!). She let me put ice packs on the area before she lasered, but the ice packs hurt more than the laser! So, I would skip the ice – it’s not necessary.
They recommend 6-8 treatments for permanent body hair removal, but it totally depends on your ethnic background, skin type, etc. You can have a free consultation with them and they’ll review that with you.
