My IMATS Look: Hair by Capella Salon; Makeup by Napoleon Perdis

I went to my first IMATS (International Makeup Artist Trade Show) in LA this weekend, and all I can say is WOW. It’s a makeup junkie’s dream.

If you don’t know, IMATS is a big deal in the makeup artist industry. You can go here to network and mingle, meet YouTube makeup gurus (like Elessa from Pursebuzz, Koren from Enkore Makeup Online and Kandee Johnson), learn from pro MUA workshops, and SHOP for makeup at discounted prices! I bought way too much stuff, but I’m not complaining! I also met up with some awesome friends and new peeps, like my girl Sara from The Makeup Snob, Rebecca Prior from Napoleon Perdis and David Klasfeld from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics and Maxi, the star of Blush!

So, here’s what I couldn’t live without (AKA my IMATS haul):

• Beauty Blender sponge (I have one, but couldn’t resist buying a spare – they are that good.)
• Cruelty-free non-animal hair Crown brushes
• Lime Crime pepto-pink lipstick in Great Pink Planet
• Too Faced lilac-colored lipstick in Living in Sin
• NYX lahes (tons of fun styles to choose from!)
• NYX Bronze Smokey Look Kit (9 shadows & two lip colors)
• NYX Silver and Glittery Black liquid eyeliners
• Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics OCC Tint (I’ve heard great things about this tinted moisturizer)
• Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars – Hoochie & Lo-Fi (a plum and a green that are great for mixing new colors) and Red Iron Oxide
• Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics loose colours
• Make-up Designory eyeshadow in Moss (a gorgeous green – my writer and I both got some!)
• I plan on buying some more Napoleon Perdis goodies too – I got so many compliments on the orange in the pic above – it’s called Hara
