I was talking to Ella the other day and she gave me a good piece of advice. She said the best way for a woman to pamper herself is to take the time to put body lotion every day. It sounds so simple, and this used to be a habit of mine, but the busier I’ve gotten, body lotion is the last thing on my list.
Of course, I realize the importance of applying a daily lotion. The skin on our bodies takes so much abuse. Not only is it losing moisture all day, but the sun, wind and pollution are damaging it too. Personally, my dry and scaly arms and legs having been begging for attention.
And Ella’s words were just the push I needed in the right direction. It was time for me to start taking more time for me, and believe it or not, body lotion was exactly what I needed. But it had to be the right body lotion. I decided to try Jergens Naturals Extra Softening Moisturising Lotion. It’s from Jergens’ UK division and it’s delightful.
It has a creamy, yet lightweight consistency with a sweet buttery fragrance. It absorbs quickly and helps my skin feel velvety smooth.
It contains 95% nautral ingredients, which make my skin feel soft, never greasy. Shea Butter relieves roughness and holds in moisture. Yogurt softens and restores the skin’s pH balance. Soy extracts contain vitamin E and provide antioxidant protection. It’s also paraben free.
I’ve been applying this lotion after my shower every day, as well as throughout the day, and my skin has never felt better. This is definitely a habit I can get used to.

I definitely agree w/ your friend Ella. Putting on lotion really makes a difference. I however do an extra step. After I shower, I put on Johnson & Johnson's Baby Oil to soften my skin & on top of that I use Aveeno's Daily Moisturizing Lotion. I noticed that putting on baby oil prior to the lotion keeps my skin moisturized & softer longer. I love it!
My fam & I used to use Jergens when we lived in the Philippines. We still use it every now & then but Aveeno has become my go-to lotion. I'm thinking about trying diff lotions though. I want to try that 1 quench lotion, I think it's by Olay? Im not sure, but is that a good product??
Hi Nicole,
I'm afraid Johnson & Johnson, Aveeno (owned by J&J) and Olay (Proctor & Gamble) all conduct tests on animals! Check out some of the cruelty-free brands that have great moisturizers – Alba, Russell Organics, Shea Terra, Yes to Carrots, Burt's Bees, LUSH and many more!
And, you can check this site to see which companies do and do not test on animals: http://search.caringconsumer.com/
Really? I'll check that site out. Thanks.
Is this product vegan??
