Product Review – Mindy Shear Cosmetics Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation

Even though I love mineral makeup, I still don’t seem to get the coverage I need from a powder foundation. So, I was more than happy to try Mindy Shear’s Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation, the liquid coverage I need with the skin-friendly minerals I love.

I’ve used other foundations before that claim to dry to a velvety powder-like finish, but I’ve always been disappointed. This one, on the other hand, does what it claims. Complete, natural-looking coverage that finishes like a powder. Smooth, perfect, and shine-free.

Another thing I love about this foundation is its sunscreen. Because it uses minerals, the sun protection is built right in. Titanium dioxide provides SPF 15, protecting my skin from both UVA (aging) rays and UVB (burning) rays.

Now, with my oily skin, I do end up having to use a pressed mineral powder for touch ups throughout the day. But this foundation actually keeps the oil under control for the first fours hours or so. Not bad for a liquid foundation.

Of course, it’s non-comedogenic, never causes breakouts, and is safe for the most sensitive skin. One tip, don’t worry if the color seems a bit dark coming out of the tube. I used vanilla cream for my light/medium skin and it blended very nicely. The yellow tones covered my redness and gave my skin some warmth, perfect for summer.

You should do a review on Mineral Hygienics! http://www.mineralhygienics.com

I've heard really good things about them! I intend to buy it when i run out of my existing bare minerals. It is making my skin itch.
