Minty shaving cream.  It seems so obvious that I’m surprised no one has thought of it earlier. After washing your face (with some form of lava soap for extra man points), the first application of ZIRH Shave Cream is quite bracing.

I like to compare it to the bite of the cold, north-eastern wind over the Atlantic cutting across your face as you pilot a commercial fishing vessel over the treacherous waters.  In my mind, if you’re going to use a shaving cream, it should, ideally, evoke Hemingway-esque reveries and delusions of masculine grandeur.

Sexy Legs Shaving Kit

I never even considered using anything other than Skintimate or Aveeno to shave my legs, but this new Sexy Legs Pink Grapefruit Shaving Bar caught my eye.  It’s made with shea butter, macadamia nut oil, sunflower seed oil, pink clay, oatmeal flour and essential oils.  No parabens, mineral oils, SLS, petroleum or artificial colors.  It works just as well as my beloved Aveeno, and is SO much better for the environment.  I also like that rubbing it on my legs stimulates circulation and gives me a nice massage (my poor legs are usually so neglected!).

And, to make things even better, they have a wonderful after-shave cream.  You can use it on your legs, bikini area, underarms – wherever.  I was worried that it would sting or clog my pores, but it doesn’t!  It’s super moisturizing and contains no alcohol or salicylic acid or anything harsh like that.  It does have:  jojoba oil, vitamin E, orchid extract, avocado oil, hemp seed oil, almond oil, rosehip seed oil (one of my favorites for calming skin!), chamomile, and raw cocoa, mango and macadamia butters!  It’s like they put every type of moisturizing, good-for-you ingredient in one jar!

These two products together have left my skin so smooth and soft, I can’t stop touching my legs!  (A little weird when you’re in public…)
